Curve Fitting XPS Curve-Fitting Best Practices – Lunch-n-learn*

Moderator: Jeff Fenton, Honeywell FM&T

While XPS is becoming easier to use and software facilitating rapid data processing and quantifications is becoming more sophisticated, curve fitting remains one of the more challenging aspects in this line of work. As materials and chemistry become more complex, the ability to curve fit accurately is still a daunting task. And software has increasingly more parameters for curve fitting, making the choice even harder. Shirley, Linear, Gaussian-Lorentzian, Asymmetric, Tougaard, and Spline are just a few parameters that must be understood. Join our panel of experts for an interactive session to get feedback on your data and help with curve fitting.

Please bring your laptop and data so we can help you. If you would like to volunteer to share your data with the audience, please contact jeff_fenton@avs.org
